We work directly with farmers, supporting them all year-round by providing hands-on training, reliable inputs and fast, transparent payments that recognise the value of their work. Understanding how important traceability is to our buyers, we endeavour to track every bean end-to-end to give them clear origin confidence. And finally, we believe that quality cocoa comes from healthy land, so are committed to upholding global sustainability standards and championing conservation to protect the environment that nurtures every crop.
With this integrated approach, we aim to build a resilient, equitable supply chain where farmers earn what they deserve, buyers get cocoa they can trust, and Ghana’s cocoa regions keep growing for generations.
Farmers first, always
When farmers thrive, cocoa moves forward. That’s why we work hand-in-hand with six farmer unions – four of which we helped establish - as well as the wider farming community in Ghana’s Eastern and Ashanti regions. Already 1,600 growers, and soon more than 11,000 , benefit from the Rainforest Alliance training, upgraded tools, essential infrastructure and direct access to global markets that we provide.
By replacing one-off transactions with strong, locally rooted partnerships, we equip and empower communities for lasting success, which in turn allows us to deliver high quality, sustainably grown cocoa that buyers can trust. Working together, we’re driving positive change for cocoa’s future.
Rooted in SuSTAINABILITY
Green Kokoo is building an easy-to-trace path for every bean, paving the way to meet the EU Deforestation Regulation’s rigorous social and environmental checks. Through our Rainforest Alliance programme and partnerships with Ghanaian cooperative unions, we have already registered more than 11,000 farmers. Together, we’re rolling out climate-smart practices and systems that trace each step of cocoa’s journey from farm to market. This work will ensure our cocoa satisfies EUDR requirements – protecting supply chains for the long term.
Our Location
Green Kokoo is affiliated with six cocoa farmer unions in the Eastern and Ashanti regions of Ghana. Through these cooperatives, Green Kokoo has committed to improving the livelihoods of over 11,000 farmers.
