Working hand-in-hand with six farmer cooperative unions in Ghana’s Eastern and Ashanti regions, we monitor each stage, from pod to port to support growers, check quality, and steadily build traceability. The payoff is practical and powerful – farmers earn more, buyers receive consistent, compliant cocoa, and the whole system gains the resilience it needs for a positive future.

The Process
Quality kept in check
Our field teams work closely with farmers to support best practices in harvesting, fermentation, and drying. At key points in the supply chain, including our district depots and take-over centres, we carry out careful visual checks to catch any issues early. Combined with Rainforest Alliance protocols and our growing traceability systems, these checks help ensure that only high-grade cocoa that meets our shared standards is exported.
