COCOBOD ANNOUNCES PRODUCER PRICE INCREASE FOR THE 2024/2025 COCOA SEASON

On November 10, 2024, the Ghana Cocoa Board announced, for the information of the general public and stakeholders in the cocoa value chain, an increase in the producer price of cocoa from GHS48,000 per tonne (GHS3,000 per 64kg bag) to GHS49,600 per tonne (GHS3,100 per 64kg bag). This new increase, which took effect on Friday, 8th November 2024, is intended to support Ghanaian cocoa farmers by providing an improved income. The increase is expected to boost farmer confidence, enhance income stability, and strengthen the partnership between COCOBOD and the farming community. COCOBOD reaffirmed its dedication to instituting measures and policies that will contribute to the growth and sustenance of Ghana’s cocoa industry.
