COCOBOD ANNOUNCES REVIEWED PRODUCER PRICE FOR THE 2025/2026 COCOA SEASON

On October 2, 2025, Ghana’s Producer Price Review Committee, chaired by the Minister for Finance, met to review the producer price of cocoa for the 2025/26 crop season. After consultations with key stakeholders, the government announced a new price of GHS3,625 per bag or GHS58,000 per tonne, representing a 12.3 percent increase from the earlier price of GHS3,228.75 per bag announced in August. The adjustment, effective October 3, 2025, reflects the government’s continued commitment to fair farmer compensation and a stable cocoa economy. All margins and rates for other stakeholders, including COCOBOD, remain unchanged.
